Weekend Getaway

Packing for a vacation has always been one of the most grueling experiences for me. I remember when my sister and I were younger and we would pack for summer camps, I would have to start three days in advance. I would carefully select all of my outfits, roll each article of clothing into colour coordinated bundles, and stack them neatly in my suitcase. I was so obsessive as a child that I would have to count things out, over and over again, to make sure I had enough. My underwear and training bras had to be matched up as sets, and my socks were perfectly stacked-- because you know balling them up stretches out the elastic. My sister would roll her eyes and pull out her luggage the night before, toss things from closet to suitcase, sit on it to squish it all down, and deftly zip the whole thing up. I would sit on my bed, clutching my stuffed animal, horrified. Now that I'm older and more mature (yeah, right) I've become less crazy with packing, but I do have to plan everything out. So, how do I go about planning things out for a weekend of sex?

Allow me to explain. There's this guy (of course, there's always this guy), and we've known each other for a while, and it turns out he's going to be in nearby city this weekend, and I'm going to meet up with him there. When I say we've known each other for a while, I mean ten years. We go way back. He was actually my first kiss. We reconnected a while back and he's coming up to the city "on business" aka to have wild, passionate sex with me. This might sound weird to some of you. "What do you mean some guy you used to know is going to fly around the world to sleep with you?" While I'd like to think that it's because I have a magical vagina and I'm so fabulously amazing, it's really just because we go so far back. There's this element of intrigue. What is it going to be like to have sex with the first guy I ever kissed? It's a fantasy, and we're fortunate enough to have the time and resources to indulge in it. I don't encourage this behaviour because then you get stuck in LaLaLand where you think it's normal for men to travel from far and wide to sleep with you, but it is fun on occasion. So, what is going in my bag?

For starters its only 48 hours, so I just want to bring a small duffel. A suitcase would be weird. We have a few specific events planned that I need to bring specific things for-- if we're going to the beach I obviously need a bathing suit, for example. But in terms of the sexual things, here's what I've come up with so far:

- Lingerie. This includes but is not limited to: garter belts, thigh highs, corsets, matching bra and panty sets, nipple tassels (still on the fence about those), lace, ribbons, unicorns, and trapdoors.

- Light bondage stuff. I'm talking handcuffs, silk ties, blindfolds, that kind of stuff. I got into heavy s&m stuff once and I am not going down that path again, but it's okay to indulge in some minor activities.

- Condoms. Ladies, I cannot stress this enough. The whole "that's a man's job" excuse is lame and outdated. If you can send your boyfriend to CVS to buy you tampons, you can damn well go buy condoms. Better safe than sorry. This is not a time to be applying the YOLO mentality to your life.

- Fun pajamas. I guess this could fall under the lingerie category, but it's always good to bring a pair of flirty jammies. Even if you don't end up wearing them, they're a good option to have. I also spend the majority of my days wearing leggings and old jerseys, so I might as well use this weekend as an excuse to pull out the silky frilly pj set.

- A razor. I don't know what your beauty regimens are, but I shave my legs. I know a lot of women embrace the hippie mentality of not shaving, and I've definitely gone down that path, but my personal preference is silky smooth.

- Coochie products. I am not endorsing this brand, but anything and everything Summer's Eve is going to be your friend this weekend. They make these neat little wipes that make your vagina smell (and taste!) great, as well as a scented spray. It's a nice little system I have before going out-- lotion my legs and elbows, spritz my vagina, and put on some perfume. You'll be smelling like a rose garden for days.

Other than that, just pack your regular clothes and toiletries. And if all else fails, you'll probably be naked all weekend so who cares.
